Every piece I make carries a<br>touch of the Mediterranean, especially my wind chimes and dreamcatchers crafted from<br>natural sea shells and mother-of-pearl. Most of these shells are lovingly handpicked during<br>my winter walks along the beach right next to my home, accompanied by my loyal dog. I could spend hours surrounded by paper, pencils and paints, creating my own little world. <br><br> A world filled with people. Different people, different stories, expressions, glances and emotions. And eventually, that is where I found something that had always fascinated me: people. I love observing them. Looking at a face and wondering what lies behind the eyes. What someone has lived through. What they are feeling. What they are trying to hide or reveal. Perhaps that is why I have now returned to painting with a different perspective. I am drawn to the human figure, not simply as an image, but as an emotion. <br><br>The face, the body, the gesture, the gaze. That moment when colour can say something words cannot. And somehow, after all these years, I have found my way back to the child who could disappear for hours among sheets of paper and colours. Only now I know that it was never time wasted.
