I’m an artisan based in the sunny island of Crete, Greece, where I run a small shop in the
traditional village of Kritsa filled with handcrafted creations. Every piece I make carries a
touch of the Mediterranean, especially my wind chimes and dreamcatchers crafted from
natural sea shells and mother-of-pearl. Most of these shells are lovingly handpicked during
my winter walks along the beach right next to my home, accompanied by my loyal dog. As I
gather them, I always wonder about the distant oceans they’ve crossed to reach our shore,
and it fills my heart with joy knowing they are now traveling across the world again to find a
place in your homes.

I have been losing myself in colours since I was a child. I could spend hours surrounded by paper, pencils and paints, creating my own little world.

A world filled with people. Different people, different stories, expressions, glances and emotions. And eventually, that is where I found something that had always fascinated me: people. I love observing them. Looking at a face and wondering what lies behind the eyes. What someone has lived through. What they are feeling. What they are trying to hide or reveal. Perhaps that is why I have now returned to painting with a different perspective. I am drawn to the human figure, not simply as an image, but as an emotion.

The face, the body, the gesture, the gaze. That moment when colour can say something words cannot. And somehow, after all these years, I have found my way back to the child who could disappear for hours among sheets of paper and colours. Only now I know that it was never time wasted. It was a part of myself, simply waiting to return.
